Central States Anthropological Society Conference – Are you going?

Hi all,

I hope you’re all having a great start of your week.

The Central States Anthropological Society (AKA CSAS) is coming up, April 10 – April 12 in Normal Illinois.

“Faculty, students, independent scholars, and practitioners are invited to present or hear papers, give poster presentations, and participate in workshops and round tables in all four fields of anthropology, including applied sub-disciplines. It also offers an opportunity for anthropologists from throughout the central states area, from institutions large and small, to meet, talk, and network together in a welcoming and professional environment.” (http://www.aaanet.org/sections/csas/?page_id=22)

Our own Kayla Harwood and Jordan Thomas are both presenting amazing research that weekend.

If you are interested in going along to watch you are more than welcome. This week we will be making travel arrangements for anybody else going. This is a great opportunity see other staff and faculty around the Midwest present on their research.

We need a hard “Yes” by Friday 2/28 if you are interested in going. Please email me if you would like to join.
