Plains Anthropological Conference – Oct 4-7, 2017 – Bismarck, ND

Plan to attend the 75th Annual Plains Conference, sponsored by the Plains Anthropological Society, in Bismarck, ND, October 4-7, 2017.

Special Student events include a Student Poster competition (new this year), Student Paper competition, and student workshop about preparing for publishing (register early for a free lunch). Abstracts for papers and posters are due August 25, 2017.

The field trips (Wed and Sat afternoon) will be wonderful. The archaeological record of the ancestors of the Mandan and Hidatsa Indians is very rich, among the most spectacular in the Great Plains! The new state museum is also well-done and well worth a visit.
